True Vintage Fashion: My Grandma

My cousin Erin scanned and posted a bunch of old family photos on Facebook. I had never seen any of these, so it was really cool to look through them – in particular, the ones of my Grandma Lori. I was really young when she died (I think only one or two?), so I don’t have any actual memories of her. And you guys? Turns out my grandma was a dish. ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m not sure what the context of this series of photos is, but it sure looks to me like she’s purposefully modeling in some of them. And they are fabulous. We’re guessing they are from the late 1930’s/early 1940’s, so perhaps she had these taken to send as snapshots to my grandpa off in the war? No idea, but check them out:

On the steps with a puppy.

On the steps again.

Looking fancy. ๐Ÿ™‚

Posing, prettily.

Posing again.

More posing.

She sure was a snappy dresser, no arguing that. ๐Ÿ™‚ Wish I could’ve known her.
