What I Wore: Phoenix & Dots

Also known as the outfit post where I don’t look at the camera once. I swear, I’m not trying to be pretentious. I took a bunch of pics with me looking at the camera, I just didn’t like how they turned out. Or at least not as much as these ones. But anyway…

This is what I wore on Monday, and I love how this outfit came together. I was looking for a new way to wear this phoenix shirt, since it’s one of my favorites. I’ve worn it with regular bootcut jeans, skinny jeans, and a grey maxi skirt, but nothing more complicated. Our brief stint of fall-like weather has dissipated back into upper-70’s weather, so I thought – why not a shorter skirt? And then picked this fun polka dot number out of the closet (comfy with pockets!), tried tucking in the shirt (which I almost never do), added a belt and voila! It almost looks like a dress. For an added splash of color I added this equally comfy blazer. Looking cute while being comfortable in soft knits is the nirvana of my sartorial world. ๐Ÿ™‚

If you’re digging my phoenix shirt (which is from my shop, by the by), I have some good news: from today until next Tuesday (21st – 27th) you can use code TDAY2012 for 20% off ANYTHING in my shop. That includes custom orders if you need something in a different size/color combo! Simply message me through Etsy with what you have in mind, I’ll make sure I can get a blank in the color/size you need, then I’ll put up a reserved listing for you to purchase. I am out of town until the 27th, so if you order a pre-made it won’t ship until the 28th, and if you order a custom item it will take 1-2 weeks longer (for me to get home, get the blank stock, print it up, ship, etc.). So what are you waiting for? Go check out my goods. ๐Ÿ˜‰

In other news, I am currently in a car making my way from Texas to Ohio, with boyfriend and puppy in tow. What are you fine folks up to today?
