Friday Favorites: Leaf Necklace

I am starting a new series here on the blog. Every Friday I’m going to highlight an item that I’m absolutely in love with. It could be anything from a piece of jewelry to shoes to a book to a recipe to a website; I may or may not own said item. I’m just trying to share a little bit of my personal style and things that make me happy, in the hopes they make you happy/inspire you, too!

So, to kick it off, this week’s Friday Favorite is my copper leaf necklace.

Leaf necklace

I say it’s a leaf, but it could just as easily be interpreted as a feather or a heart – yay versatility! I got this little gem at a tiny general store out in Fredericksburg, TX (which, if you haven’t been, is a very quaint quasi-German-themed town west of Austin). I was drawn to this for its simplicity, and the fact that it is copper-toned but not the overbearing bright red copper. I had not, previously, owned any copper necklaces, so this was a jewelry branching-out. It’s not heavy around my neck, and isn’t so long a chain that it’s hitting me in the face every time I lean over (a problem with other necklaces, I can tell you). Pretty much any photo on the DA shop where I’m modeling a shirt, you will also spy this necklace. I wear it a LOT. The only downside is I don’t have any other copper jewelry (earrings, ring, etc.) to coordinate with it!
