Treasure Trove

Some things that have caught my fancy lately (or at least my attention):

In other news, the boyfriend is on night shift for a few days, of which we are not fans. Aside from the hour where he crawls into bed in the morning a bit before I get up, and the few minutes before he leaves for work in the evening while I’m still working, we don’t really get to see each other. And I have to be really quiet around the house during the day because it’s his nighttime and he’s sleeping. Luckily he switches back to his normal hours on Thursday.

Also, the winners of the February giveaway! Congrats to Lexy and Karen, winners of the large ad spaces. And congrats to Remy, Ami, Kristin and Polly, winners of the medium ad spaces. I’ve emailed all of you the details. 🙂 If you didn’t win, there’s still a few days to snag a sponsor spot for March. Go check out my Sponsor page for more details.

  1. Good luck with the sucky schedule this week 🙁 My boyfriend and I work totally opposite schedules too so I totally get the woe.

Thanks so much for the give-away ad space! I’m so stoked!

    1. Thanks! I don’t think it’d be so hard if I wasn’t working from home, but the enforced tip-toeing during the day is kind of a strain. Not that I’m normally crazy loud, but just having to be conscious *all day* of how much noise I’m making is weird; I worry every little thing is going to wake him up and make him tired for work. Very glad it’s just temporary, and I get my boyfriend and normal work environment back soon. 🙂

  2. I really enjoyed The Dresden Files… I actually haven’t read all the books, only the first two. Thanks for the reminder. Have you ever seen the TV version they did of it? I haven’t, but the guy that played Harry looked EXACTLY how I pictured him in my head. I had a total ‘Twilight Zone’ moment when I saw him!

I love posts like this where I have lots of new fun things to click onto. Thanks 🙂

    1. I’ve tried the TV show, but I was actually really disappointed in it. I would recommend the books WAY more than the show. It’s one of very few series I’ve read that is a gadjillion books long but hasn’t gotten boring or drawn-out or inconsistent. It’s just so good. Definitely consider picking it up again! 🙂
