This spring I participated in a gift swap called Send Something Good (much more popular than it’s lesser-known counterpart, Send Something Mediocre 😉 ). It’s run by Gentri, Kristy and Kaitlyn. It was a mystery swap, so the person you were sending a gift package to was not the same person you were getting one from – quite fun! We each did a get-to-know us likes & dislikes post awhile back so our mystery person could get some idea of what to send.
This is the package I sent off to my assigned blogger, Elisha:

All wrapped up.
The person assigned to send me a package was Leslie from Little Mrs. Me. And let me just say, her package FLOORED me in it’s awesomeness!!!! I loved every single thing she sent, and felt completely spoiled. It totally made my day. 😀 Check out what she sent:

What I saw when I first opened the box...

Holy moly lots of awesome stuff when it was unpacked!

Gorgeous lace shawl. I need to find things to wear this with/ways to wear it, because it is PRETTY

Some polka dot socks (already worn) and a mostly empty notebook, with the first few pages having family recipes from Leslie - too cool.

Feather & leaf earrings, an amazing smelling candle, Essie nail polish, and some peanuts from Virginia where she lives.

Reese's dessert bars, which we ended up making for the boy's bday. And a new book! which I am currently reading.

She even sent this dragon chew toy for my dog. Sienna already has one, but it was getting quite raggedy, so yay new dragon!

Maybe Sienna won't notice when we switch them out? Haha.
All in all, an AMAZING care package. Leslie, you are awesome, and spot-on with everything you sent. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
I will definitely be participating in the next round of Send Something Good, whenever that may be. 🙂
SO AWESOME!!! I am mega jealous of that shawl. 😮 I see posts like these often and I’m rather crushed I can’t participate. I love love love gift giving (and okay – getting gifts is pretty awesome as well.)
It was awesome! I love giving and getting gifts & packages, too. Why can’t you participate? There’s a whole bunch, and a range of price minimums. :-\
holy moly! what a great package dude! i love the note book with the family recipes. those should always be treasured 🙂
xo,
so glad you participated and i got to know you!!
I’m excited to try out her family’s recipes – I need to get a waffle iron for one though!
I’m glad to have gotten to know you too 😀
I posted about my package… if you want to see!! 😉 haha.
xx.
Hooray!! 😀 Leslie is my real life BFF and I knew she’d send an awesome package. 🙂 I’m so glad you enjoyed this project and plan on participating again! 😀
Your BFF did indeed do awesome. 🙂 Looking forward to the next one!
looks like the package you got really suits you! (she sent black nail polish 😉
i love how beautifully you wrapped the gifts that you sent out too!!
Thank you!
Haha, yeah, black wouldn’t have been my first instinct, but then again I don’t own any nail polish in that color so it’s something new to branch out with! 🙂
The packaging you sent out looks wonderful, and I love the look of the package you received!
Thanks! 😀
What a gorgeous idea! It’s so fantastic to see such creativity and generosity. Well done to all the lovely lasses who participated.
😀 You should join us for the next round in the fall!
