Last night was a fun outing to dinner and then the geeky-but-awesome Zelda Symphony with some friends. I was all excited about this outfit, and had planned to get some outfit post pictures with my trusty Nikon and tripod before heading out. I had it all set up, hit the remote to take the first picture, and heard the camera turn off. D’oh. Dead battery. There wasn’t enough time to charge it before I had to head out, and Ian was heading straight downtown from work, so I had to just snap some quick pics myself with my iPhone. They get the job done, though I really wish there’d been a way for me to get a full-length shot. If you piece together the below shots, you’ll get an idea. Also, a polka dot dress with pockets? There was no way I could refuse this dress.
Colors: Black, Ivory, Red
Dress: the Merrit Claire Polka Dot Dress by Dolce Vita (there’s a good shot of the back details here), acquired through Stitch Fix.
Cardigan: cropped Derek Heart crochet cardigan, bought clearance at Ross.
Shoes: the Go About Your Afternoon Heel in Black from ModCloth.
Necklace: from Mama’s Nest Designs
Earrings: from Ten Thousand Villages
Nail Polish: Zoya nail polish in Myrta (my new favorite color – more coral than red as it looks in picture above)
