You guys probably know by now that I don’t paint my fingernails. But my toenails? Always painted. And I’ve been slowly growing my collection of nail polish colors (I only had 4 for the longest time – pearl white, pale pink, copper, and a dark maroon). So this past month I participated in my first ever nail polish swap, organized by the lovelies Rachel and Carly. We each filled out a little survey about our nail polish tastes, and then they paired us up to get swapping. The idea was to send two nail polishes to your swap partner that you thought they would like.
I was paired up with Jennifer. She said she liked ‘soft pinks’ and you can follow that link on her name to hop over to her place and see what I sent her. I said I like ‘warm colors’ and she sent me the following:
I LOVE the metallic lavender Essie polish – it’s actually on my toes right now!
The hot pink is ok. I don’t normally go for bright fluorescents and haven’t used it yet, so we’ll see. Either way, thank you Rachel for the fun swap!
In other fun growing-my-collection nail polish news, I got my Julep Mystery Box last week, and it had these fun colors:
And I also caught a super-sale on HauteLook for Barielle polishes a few weeks ago, and these just got marked as shipped:
So there are fun toenail colors times ahead for me!
Have you ever done a polish swap or mystery box? How’d you like it?
