Don’t be fooled by the bright sunshine. It was 50 degrees out when I took these this morning. Hence the sweater, scarf, and me hamming it up like I’m freezing (see below). 🙂 It looks like Austin has finally clued in to the fact that it is fall/winter. Which means all of my sweaters and thermals and such are going to be joining the wardrobe rotation.
I am fully on the scarf-as-accessory bandwagon now. They are fun, and even a thin scarf like this helps keep my neck warm. My neck (particularly the back) is one of those places where if it gets cold, my whole body gets cold. The other place is my feet. You can’t see it in these pictures, but I am wearing a pair of brightly striped fuzzy socks inside of those boots. Fuzzy socks are my jam in the winter. If you are ever in a quandary over what to get me for Xmas/bday/gift swap, you can’t go wrong with some fun fuzzy socks.
Also: this outfit? Super comfortable. The sweater is soft, the tunic is soft, my socks are soft… see a trend here? 🙂
In non-outfit news, work has picked back up. I’ve got a full line-up today, and then it’s date night tonight. Not sure what Ian has planned for that, so no clue if an outfit adjustment will be necessary. That’s about all I’ve got to report on this week.
What’s your go-to, keeping-warm winter clothing? Any other fuzzy sock aficionados out there?

Austin surely has a bit of nip in its step lately. 😉 I grew up in the north but I got so adjusted to this warm Texas weather that when it hit 50 I threw on some sweats to keep warm. I like it though, keeps my power bill down because instead of turning on the heat we just bundle up a tad. 🙂

I grew up in the north, too, but I’ve definitely acclimated to Texas weather. I’m the same way, anything below 50 starts to feel like 20 to me. 🙂
Boots, scarves and sweaters are of course my go to ‘stay warm’ fall/winter items! I wear fuzzy socks too, around the house… Probably would wear them everywhere if they’d fit in my boots! 😉
I totally wear them with boots anyway – extra snug and warm! 🙂
This is a gorgeous color combo – love the navy and burgundy together!

Thank you! I hadn’t done navy & burgundy together before this, but I like it!
Oh man, your hair twist is soooo pretty!!! I used to wear mine in a bun, when tis was longer. 😀 Also, scarves as accessories, yes!!! I love ’em and I too like how they keep my neck nice and warm!
Thank you! My trick: spin pins. Easiest 30-second twist bun ever. 🙂
Yahooooo for layers! I love a good scarf and fuzzy socks!
Indeed! I’ll be sure to make good use of layers, scarves and fuzzy socks on my trip up north. 🙂
Big fan of warm fuzzy socks right here!

I’m in love with your pants! Such a gorgeous color for fall!
Thanks!! I agree. 🙂
Lovely outfit! I wish it was 50 degrees here xD It’s been in the low 40s into the 30s D:
Thank you! You can have the 50 degrees if you send 70 degrees in its stead. No deal for 40s or 30s. 😉
super love this color palette and outfit!!
