I’m not sure you guys realize how much I can crack myself up sometimes thinking of titles for outfit posts (alternate option was My Longhorn is Showing, but that sounded dirty). 🙂
Anywho, this is what I wore yesterday. It’s been hovering around 60 this week, but around 40-50 when I get dressed in the morning, so this was a good amount of layering to stay comfortable. It was an around-the-house day- computer stuff and chores and that kind of thing. Admittedly, I did ditch the layering shirt late in the afternoon, because it got too warm with it on. I did run one errand, to the pharmacy to pick up a prescription. Sienna went with me; she loves going through the pharmacy drive-thru because they always give her a treat. They actually keep a little container of dog treats on hand for people who have dogs in the car. I was happily surprised when I found that out, and needless to say Sienna has been appreciative ever since. 🙂 Points for Walgreens.
In other news, I won a gift card to Shabby Apple on Twitter yesterday! Proof that entering Twitter contests does actually pay off occasionally. Now I just have to decide what to get with it! It doesn’t count as breaking my shopping ban if it’s all on a gift card, right? Right.
How’s your week going? Have you ever won a Twitter contest?
Wait, what’s this?
Bam! A hood! Bet you didn’t see that coming.

Great outfit!
I love your dress and I really like how you paired it with the colored tights.

Thank you!! I’ve been loving colored tights lately, they’re so fun. 🙂
Okay I want to steal that dress, it’s so cute!
Haha, no it’s mine! If I ever decide to put it up in my shop my closet I’ll let you know, though. 🙂
Blog hopping from WIWW – congrats on the Twitter contest win – I like sweater dresses and this one looks nice on you.
Thanks!! I don’t do sweater dresses often, but this one was too fun to resist. 🙂
I loooove those tights! And congrats on the gift card, Shabby Apple has such great clothes 🙂
Thanks!!! And yes they do, love some of their dresses and tops.
congrats on winning the twitter giveaway! i love winning those cuz they are more instant news haha!!
Thanks! 🙂 And you’re totally right. Twitter contest > waiting for a week or however long to hear about a blog giveaway. But I’ll take either one, really. 😀
Those tights are such a great color. I love them with turquoise!
Thank you! 🙂 Burnt orange and turquoise is one of those color combos I can’t seem to get away from. I just keep gravitating back to it.
Love the outfit. Now I’m going to be going to bed singing that song. 😉
Congrats on the twitter win. I’m jealous. I enter every Shabby Apple giveaway I find and no luck yet. I can’t wait to see what you pick out!
Haha, sorry not sorry! Is it out of your head yet? (not now that I just brought it up again probably, haha)
And thanks! It wasn’t a huge gift card, but still enough to put towards one of their shirts I’ve been eyeing. 🙂
Oh I’m so excited to see a post inspiring my wool dress! Can’t wait for winter (I know sad right!). Thanks for linking up with WW 🙂
Thanks for hosting it! And yeah, definitely find some fun colored tights and play around – it’s my go-to for winter/sweater dresses. 🙂
I love the hood! I’ve been on the lookout for a hooded dress for a while, but I’m yet to find one that I really love. This one is so adorable!
I think it’s fun, too! Though I think this might also be a case where the concept is more fun than the reality is flattering on me. Oh well! Sometimes fun wins out. 🙂
so cute! wish I could rock a sweater dress like that!
Aw, thanks! And who says you can’t? 🙂
