What I Wore: Cowl Me Maybe

I’m not sure you guys realize how much I can crack myself up sometimes thinking of titles for outfit posts (alternate option was My Longhorn is Showing, but that sounded dirty). πŸ™‚

Anywho, this is what I wore yesterday. It’s been hovering around 60 this week, but around 40-50 when I get dressed in the morning, so this was a good amount of layering to stay comfortable. It was an around-the-house day- computer stuff and chores and that kind of thing. Admittedly, I did ditch the layering shirt late in the afternoon, because it got too warm with it on. I did run one errand, to the pharmacy to pick up a prescription. Sienna went with me; she loves going through the pharmacy drive-thru because they always give her a treat. They actually keep a little container of dog treats on hand for people who have dogs in the car. I was happily surprised when I found that out, and needless to say Sienna has been appreciative ever since. πŸ™‚ Points for Walgreens.

In other news, I won a gift card to Shabby Apple on Twitter yesterday! Proof that entering Twitter contests does actually pay off occasionally. Now I just have to decide what to get with it! It doesn’t count as breaking my shopping ban if it’s all on a gift card, right? Right.

How’s your week going? Have you ever won a Twitter contest?

Wait, what’s this?

Bam! A hood! Bet you didn’t see that coming.

    1. Haha, no it’s mine! If I ever decide to put it up in my shop my closet I’ll let you know, though. πŸ™‚

    1. Thanks! πŸ™‚ And you’re totally right. Twitter contest > waiting for a week or however long to hear about a blog giveaway. But I’ll take either one, really. πŸ˜€

    1. Thank you! πŸ™‚ Burnt orange and turquoise is one of those color combos I can’t seem to get away from. I just keep gravitating back to it.

  1. Love the outfit. Now I’m going to be going to bed singing that song. πŸ˜‰

Congrats on the twitter win. I’m jealous. I enter every Shabby Apple giveaway I find and no luck yet. I can’t wait to see what you pick out!

    1. Haha, sorry not sorry! Is it out of your head yet? (not now that I just brought it up again probably, haha)

And thanks! It wasn’t a huge gift card, but still enough to put towards one of their shirts I’ve been eyeing. πŸ™‚

    1. Thanks for hosting it! And yeah, definitely find some fun colored tights and play around – it’s my go-to for winter/sweater dresses. πŸ™‚

  2. I love the hood! I’ve been on the lookout for a hooded dress for a while, but I’m yet to find one that I really love. This one is so adorable!

    1. I think it’s fun, too! Though I think this might also be a case where the concept is more fun than the reality is flattering on me. Oh well! Sometimes fun wins out. πŸ™‚
