I’ve been getting more and more into patterns and prints. A few years ago, if you had looked in my closet, you would’ve seen mostly an unbroken line of solid colors. Now you’d find all sorts of stuff: polka dots, stripes, florals, geometrics (but not really any animal prints – not a huge fan of those). Even Aztec-inspired pieces like this tunic. It’s a bit reminiscent of an 80’s pattern, but I think just updated enough to avoid direct reference. I love it. It’s super comfortable, and the cream-and-faded-black combo pretty much goes with anything. I chose to pair it with these olive pants, because it’s getting hot out and jeans just seemed too heavy. I also busted out my open-toed sandals from the storage box under the bed – yay! Now as long as there’s not another freak cold spell, I can get the mess of shoes in the kitchen under control. For awhile there I didn’t know if I’d be wearing boots or sandals, and it’s become a bit of a pile-up.
What’s your take on prints and patterns? Gung-ho or no-no?
