Tuesday Treasure Trove

Tuesday Treasure Trove: this week's round-up of read-worthy links

Things of Note:

We had a good weekend. There was a drinky movie night with friends, and a soccer game, and a lavender bubble bath, and a good bit of Netflix watching (Bones is my new favorite show). And now it’s back into the swing of things. And dang what a swing. Between the TxSC Conference this weekend and my mini craft show next weekend, on top of normal work + house + puppy stuff, things are a little crazy around here. I HAVE TO DO ALL THE THINGS. But, I think it will all get done. At least I hope it all gets done. I do need to do a bunch more printing for the show, and plan out my outfits for the conference, and real work things that pop up. But it feels just this side of manageable, so fingers crossed.

At the very least, I have a mini break this afternoon for a much needed massage and chiro adjustment. A little bit of pampering can do wonders, am I right?

What are you up to this week? Will I see any of you at TxSC?

  1. I love the links you chose. I feel bad for the kitty and the vegan diet. I don’t really like it when people are aggressive about their eating habits. I grew up with a grandmother that was a non-red meat eater and then became vegan so I’ve always gotten critiqued about what I ate.

I personally think that humans were meant to eat meat. Perhaps not as much as some people do today but then again it also varied depending on your culture. Some humans in colder areas for example that had less vegetation did not only live off of plants, nuts, and berries. Those peeps ate meat.

It is very unfortunate that people assume animals should have the same diet. Hello..it’s a cat they hunt other animals. That’s going against nature.

    1. Thanks! And yes, I agree. Kind of ridiculous to force a no-meat diet on a creature that is clearly a carnivore. There was a lot of head shaking when I read that article.
