What I Wore: Daydreaming

This month, I will be (sporadically) participating in Blogtember with Jenni. Today’s prompt: If you could take three months off from your current life and do anything in the world, what would you do?

daydream1

If I could take three months off and do anything, with money not being a factor, I would travel. I would travel a LOT. I’d split it up and do 3 weeks in the British Isles (focusing on Ireland & Scotland), 3 weeks in the Mediterranean (Italy & Greece specifically), 3 weeks in Australia, and 3 weeks visiting my family here in the States. I would take my camera and my sketchpad, and just see as much as I could in that time. Famous sites and little-known villages alike. For the stretch with my family, it’d just be hanging out and spending time with them, less focus on sightseeing. No doubt I’d be exhausted when I got home regardless, but how AWESOME would that trip be? It’s totally got me daydreaming about unrealistic vacations and people with cool accents.

This dress is perfect for daydreaming. The lace gives it a romantic feel, and the color palette a touch of whimsy. This is one of the dresses I snagged in ModCloth’s recent 70% off sale, and I love it. It’s brighter than I normally go, so I did feel the need to tame it by pairing it with dark brown. But I still love it.

What would you do if you could take a three month sabbatical?
