In case you missed it at the start of the year, one of the things I’ve decided to do with my shops this year is donate a portion of all sales to charities or causes that I support.
July is host to UV Safety Month and Parks & Recreation Month. Since those are all about the great outdoors, I’ve chosen Greenpeace to be this month’s beneficiary. They are the largest independent direct-action environmental organization in the world. You might know them from their fights to protect forests and oceans, and stop global warming. Greenpeace’s aim is to defend the natural world and promote peace by investigating, exposing and confronting environmental abuse, and championing environmentally responsible solutions. Being environmentally responsible is a quality I think too many ignore in the name of business growth or profit. If you agree, you can support the cause by a direct donation on the their site, or by shopping in either of my shops (screen printing or digital) this month.
At the beginning of this month $10 was donated to the June shop charity – thank you!
