I recently had the opportunity to design a logo for a fellow Etsy shop owner. Genevieve and I connected through the TAG Treasury Team on Etsy. She saw that I was a graphic designer, so when she decided to open a 2nd jewelry shop specializing in hand-stamped silver sterling jewelry, she visited my 2nd shop and hired me to do her logo design.
The new shop’s name was to be The Azure Rose. She knew she wanted (fittingly) an azure rose as the symbol, but didn’t want it to be too literal of a depiction. She also wanted the logo to be simple, modern, yet still convey the handcrafted feel. Here is what I came up with:
The subtle hand-drawn quality of the font helps convey the hand-crafted quality of her products, and the stylized rose captures the modern, simple feel she was looking for while also evoking a stamped look. She was thrilled with it. And clearly needed no help implementing the new base of her brand! Check out her new shop in action:
How great is that product photography?! And the pretty packaging! I love the nature-inspired designs she offers, like the dandelion and leaves above.
Overall, a very satisfying design project, and successful launch of a great new shop! I hope you’ll stop by and check out what she offers. 🙂
What do you think? Did I capture the look she was going for?
