Things of Note:

Not too much to report here. We had a pretty low-key weekend, but in a good way. I’m still printing new things for the shop, and doing my freelance work, and counting down to my birthday. :)

Also, Nessa nominated me for an Inspiring Blog Award (thanks chica!), and the award came with some questions for me to answer. Here you go:

What clothing item makes you feel at your best? Probably my VS Love skinny jeans, because they just fit so well and are really comfy and look great.
When are you most energetic: morning/noon/evening? Afternoon and evening definitely, I am not a morning person.
Time to kick back and relax! What’s your pick-me-up food/drink? SunChips or Cheez-its, and a smoothie.
Your favorite kind of chocolate? Dark chocolate. I love the little Dove chocolates.
To follow that up, what’s your favorite pastime? Reading, easily. I’m a total bookworm.
What sound do you love? Light rain, or the ocean.
If you could pack your bags and leave right now, what country or city would you go to? Back to Australia! If it were summer here in the northern hemisphere, I’d say Ireland.
There’s an album called “soundtrack to your life”. What songs have to be on it? I don’t know. This would be constantly changing. Lots of soulful guitar and piano and great lyrics and great vocals.
Do you have any bad habits? Yes.
What’s one habit that others do that you absolutely can’t stand? Bad drivers (not using a turn signal, cutting people off, etc.)

Glad you liked the sex-before-marriage article…so true, but I’d never had the words to explain it before! Also, love the “Things You Stop Caring About” and “5 Things Only You..”. Definitely going to share them :) <3

I did like it! (and agreed with it completely – hello, “living in sin” over here, haha). Glad you found some reads you liked, too – Thought Catalog generally has some pretty interesting stuff. :)

    1. Despite the fact that I’m not a huge fan of the Gangnam Style tune, I do have to say that I’m super impressed with how it’s gone viral and inspired so much creativity in it’s wake AND even more impressive, managed to cross a language barrier.

    2. Loved the sex before marriage article.

    3. I found myself sympathizing with the author in I’m Just Not A Morning Person, And Society Won’t Stop Punishing Me. I’ve been lucky since for some weird reason, most all of the companies I’ve worked for have been reasonably flexible about start times, there are a few occasions where I end up running on 3 or 4 hours of sleep, but for the most part I get to go in late enough that even when I crawl into bed at 3am, I can still manage to squeak in 6 hours of sleep.

I’m not a huge fan of the song or the video, really, but I agree that it’s impressive how viral it’s gone. I also found it really amusing that Samsung (normally a pretty stuffy company) had an internal parody-making contest for it.

I’m also lucky regarding the non-morning person thing, in that I work for myself from home. But those occasions when I do have to get up and be functioning early are painful.
