What I Wore: Black Stripes & Mustard Tights

This week’s outfit was partially inspired by Ma Nouvelle Mode‘s Copy Cat Closet challenge, which for this week was colored tights. I’ve dipped my toe into wearing colored tights before and have several pairs, but I hadn’t had a chance to wear these mustard ones yet. Or this dress. Greyscale stripes + mustard yellow seemed like an easy win, so voila! This dress is surprisingly comfortable, and there’s just enough nip in the air that the tights are welcome. The boots are fabulous (they can be worn cuffed with the herringbone showing, or not), but have a bit higher heel than I wear on an everyday basis. I’m sure if any neighbors were watching my photo shoot they were entertained by my wobbliness (not helped by heels sinking into soft lawn). But being able to walk more gracefully in higher heels is something I’m working on, so eventually the wobbliness will disappear.

In non-wardrobe news, I’m still catching up on things from Thanksgiving vacation. I think I have about 200 unread blog posts in my reader, and quite a number of emails to attend to still. But I’m glad to be home and working on work, blog & shop again. Honestly, too much downtime and I get bored. But it was great to see my mom and extended family. 🙂

How are you guys doing this week?
