So, this morning I won an auction on Ebay for a Nikon D5000 camera. !!!! I’ve worked with Nikon DSLRs before (most particularly when I was a photography intern at a newspaper way back when) but have never myself owned one. I’ve been getting by with my Nikon Coolpix point-and-shoot, and my iPhone. Upon winning the camera auction, I also promptly ordered a tripod and remote to go with it. A remote, you guys! No more setting the 10-second timer and running to get in place and hoping I don’t look goofy and have to do it all over again. Hurray! So there will be some (hopefully) much improved and more frequent What I Wore posts once the camera arrives. I’ll have just the standard 55mm lens to start, and will probably get a macro lens sometime in the next few months. I’m pretty stinkin’ excited about this! I’ve wanted a real digital camera for a long time. And hey, it’s one more thing knocked off my 28 Before 28 list!
Any recommendations on other lenses I should look into adding to the collection eventually?
