Why should Valentine’s Day be just about lovers/significant others? This Vday I thought it’d be fun to show some appreciation for fellow bloggers & crafters while at the same time supporting the handmade community, so I came up with the Be My Valentine Gift Swap. You can read about it here, but basically everyone who signed up had to create an Etsy treasury with items under $20 they’d like to receive, and their swap partner picked one to send to them for Vday. Everyone seemed to have a lot of fun with it, and I certainly plan on hosting it again next year. ๐
You can see all of the treasuries that participants created here. This was my treasury:

My wonderful swapper (Manda Jane of Elf House Chronicles) sent me the bracelet below. Not only is it purple, it’s dragon agate! I love it, and it will certainly be showing up in some outfit posts. You cans see what everyone else received by checking out the link-up at the end of this post. ๐
I also sent out some Valentine’s cards, both to friends & family, and for the Easton Place Designs Valentine card swap. It was also good fun – I love getting stuff in the mail!
For Vday night, the boy and I are cooking a pork loin roast and drinking wine and just hanging out together. We don’t really do the Vday gift thing, though he will probably still get me flowers, which is fine by me. ๐ How about everyone else? What are your Vday plans?
