Well, the day has come. I never thought it would, but it has. I actually like a shade of yellow. Not just tolerate-like, but actively, enthusiastically-like. Mustard yellow is now a prominent color in my wardrobe. You can see me sporting it here, and I know I’ve worn it at least twice since then, too (with some of the items in the mix-up below, even). It’s a great color to mix-and-match with, and a very autumn-appropriate color. So I thought I’d share a few of my favorite pieces in this dusky gold hue:
For the record, I still hate the condiment of the same name. 😉
What do you think of this shade? Are there colors out there you used to think you’d never like but now find you’ve come around to?
I would kill for the perfect mustard color cardigan. Haven’t found it yet!
I have a decent one I got at Target. It’s boyfriend-sweater style, though, so not quite as versatile as just a normal cardigan. Let me know if you find the perfect one!
I’ve always been a huge fan of mustard! I’m actually wearing a mustard/gray striped sweater right now!
I have been converted to a huge fan, as well. I even just bought some mustard tights with some birthday money, haha.
I was the same way with yellow, and mustard totally changed my mind too! I goes well with so many other colors, especially for fall!
Right?! It kinda sneaks up on you, and then you suddenly realize, oh, I DO like yellow.
Mustard yellow grew on me a few years ago too it’s just something about the color!
I’m pretty new to the mustard yellow club – I only really started liking it this year. But I’m already a huge fan. 🙂
Obsessed. I bought that skirt from Modcloth, and while super cute……..it’s a bit short!
Oh yeah? Good to know. I wouldn’t have guessed too short just from the length measurement – does it sit higher on the waist?
I always thought I could never pull off yellow! And then I discovered mustard too! I definitely love this color and am looking to add more of it into my wardrobe.

Same here! Regular bright yellow just doesn’t work on me. But mustard? No problem. 🙂
Thanks for stopping by!
