That’s me being a copycat on the left, and my inspiration on the left (Anna from Mungolife). As part of the Pinterest Challenge, I picked two outfits that I wanted to try my hand at recreating, and this is the first one I tackled. You can see the original pin here. I substituted a big necklace instead of a big scarf, since I didn’t have a scarf that would fit this color scheme and would’ve sweltered in it anyway (it got up to 78 yesterday!). And obviously I had to put my own spin on it with specific item choices. I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. I think I stayed true to the color scheme and idea, but in my own style. I will say, I love how this necklace looks, but it’s kind of a pain to wear – super jingly and the leaves kept getting turned backwards.
Lifewise, this week I’m doing my normal design work, printing up some things for the shop, and experimenting with bleach pens. It’s also date night (which is every Wednesday, in case that wasn’t obvious by now, haha), but the boy’s turn to pick. Can’t wait to see what he decides on from the dining passport! I’m also excited about meeting this lady over the weekend while we’re in Houston for a wedding. !!! 😀
Do you do copycat outfits from Pinterest at all? Ever done a one-on-one meetup with a blogger you want to be besties with?
