Red Graphic Tee 4 Ways

Red Graphic Tee 4 Ways

As you might know by now, I run an Etsy shop that sells screen printed goods, primarily t-shirts. And I thought it’d be fun today to show a few different ways that a bold graphic tee from my shop could be worn. So, this is the shirt:

Phoenix Tee

A simple scoopneck tee, in bright red, with my phoenix design in black. I made a duplicate of this one for myself, and have been wearing it different ways for about a year. Here are some that I have photographic proof of, all appropriate for the hot Texas weather we have 90% of the year:

Look #1

With a shorter patterned skirt, tucked and belted. Top with a blazer to dress it up that tad more and add a pop of a contrasting color.
(see full look here)

Look #1

Look #2

Super casual, with regular blue jeans (skinny or bootcut, I’ve done both). Easy and comfortable. Nothing too revolutionary about this, just a good ol’ jeans & tee combo.

Look #2

Look #3

With a maxi skirt or over a maxi dress for effortless boho-ish layers. Loose hair and interesting accessories add to the effect.

Look #3

Look #4

With bold patterned jeans to match the bold design on the shirt. Add pops of an accent color in the accessories and shoes if possible.

Look #4

For colder weather, add some boots over the skinny jeans, and a cardigan here or there, or layer over a longer-sleeved tee.

How would you wear this shirt?

What I Wore: Phoenix & Dots

Also known as the outfit post where I don’t look at the camera once. I swear, I’m not trying to be pretentious. I took a bunch of pics with me looking at the camera, I just didn’t like how they turned out. Or at least not as much as these ones. But anyway… This is what I wore on Monday, and I love how this outfit came together. I was looking for a new way to wear this phoenix shirt, since it’s one of my favorites. I’ve worn it with regular bootcut jeans, skinny jeans, and a grey maxi […]

Phoenix printed shirts in the shop

Prints of the new phoenix design hit the shop this past weekend! Take a look (more to come in the next few weeks): Fiery colors obviously work best with the theme of the design, but I kind of really want to do one in a blue-green. Could I get away with that, do you think? By the way, in case you didn’t know, I do accept custom orders. If there’s a color combo of any of the prints that’s not in your size, or a color combo I haven’t done that you’d like, just let me know! You can either […]

The Phoenix Design (for real this time)

Long-time readers may remember me mentioning the new phoenix design I’d come up with back in November, which I then promptly became unsatisfied with and put on a back burner. I tinkered with it off and on the past few months, never quite getting it to where I wanted. But, after this past weekend, I am happy to announce that I have FINALLY gotten the new phoenix design squared away. For real this time. No take-backs.   Now all that remains is for me to make the screen, and you’ll be seeing this design hit the shop. 🙂

Next Design: Phoenix

phoenix design

I have FINALLY finished sketching, erasing, tweaking, etc. the next design for DA, and am ready to make the screen. Check out the upcoming phoenix design: EDIT: Ok, I may have announced this prematurely. I woke up the next day, and was not happy with the wings. I slept on it again, and liked it ok. Slept again, and didn’t. So it needs more tweaking. Will do a new post with updated (and hopefully final!) design when it’s ready.
