Send Something Good: The Essentials

As part of the Send Something Good gift swap, today all participants are linking up with posts to let their secret swap partners know a little more about them and the kinds of things they like.

So, here are the essentials about me:

  1. I am not religious, vegetarian, married, or a mother.
  2. I am a graphic designer, screenprinter, college graduate, bookworm, homebody, girlfriend, sister, daughter, movie addict, dog mama and lover of good food.
  3. I live in Austin, Texas, though I am originally from the cold northlands known as Ohio.
  4. I’m currently 27 years old.
  5. I’m not too much of a girly girl, and tend to avoid glitter, sequins, pink, and time-sucking beauty routines. That said, I do love lace and comfy skirts and painting my toenails.
  6. I adore fuzzy socks, cool dragons (not sparkly glittery ones), simple but interesting jewelry, carved wood, science fiction & fantasy, good love stories, polka dots, witty banter, chocolate, new yummy recipes, tea, feathers, leaves, fun paper products, graphic tees, cute belts, and dresses with pockets.
  7. I don’t generally wear hair accessories, for the simple reason that I’m terrible with hair and have only about 2.5 hairstyles I can manage reliably.
  8. I do not so much adore rosette anything, mint flavor on anything but toothpaste, purses that don’t have shoulder straps, coffee, spicy food, or neon colors.

If needed, you can find out more about me here, here, here, and here. Or, you know, just browse the archives. 😉

And now, and fun collage of things I like:

    1. Haha, mine are just plain down, or up in a spin-pin bun. Then when I try something else (curled hair, etc.) it comes out ok half the time. 😉

  1. this was a great post – i really enjoy how you don’t identify yourself as just one thing. you seem to know who you are and what you like!

    1. Haha, thanks, I appreciate it. That’s probably the nicest way someone’s ever told me I have strong opinions. 😀 Thanks for stopping by!

  2. Love Reeses… best treat ever. And I agree with number 7…. my hair routine is wake up, brush, go… and if It is a lucky day maybe pull it back.

    1. I can’t keep Reese’s in the house in any quantity because I will eat ALL of them at once. Addictive.

My hair routine is similar, except it’s usually up, with the help of my trusty spin pins. My hair is just too think to keep much volume if left down (even having tried various ‘volumizing’ products).
