What I Wore: Cowl Me Maybe

tilt

I’m not sure you guys realize how much I can crack myself up sometimes thinking of titles for outfit posts (alternate option was My Longhorn is Showing, but that sounded dirty). 🙂

Anywho, this is what I wore yesterday. It’s been hovering around 60 this week, but around 40-50 when I get dressed in the morning, so this was a good amount of layering to stay comfortable. It was an around-the-house day- computer stuff and chores and that kind of thing. Admittedly, I did ditch the layering shirt late in the afternoon, because it got too warm with it on. I did run one errand, to the pharmacy to pick up a prescription. Sienna went with me; she loves going through the pharmacy drive-thru because they always give her a treat. They actually keep a little container of dog treats on hand for people who have dogs in the car. I was happily surprised when I found that out, and needless to say Sienna has been appreciative ever since. 🙂 Points for Walgreens.

In other news, I won a gift card to Shabby Apple on Twitter yesterday! Proof that entering Twitter contests does actually pay off occasionally. Now I just have to decide what to get with it! It doesn’t count as breaking my shopping ban if it’s all on a gift card, right? Right.

How’s your week going? Have you ever won a Twitter contest?

What I Wore: Plaid Hooded

This is what I wore yesterday. It’s maybe a little on the kooky side, but it’s comfy and I ended up loving it. Bonus is that every single clothing item here was bought at a super sale price. The dress is a nice light t-shirt like material, and the tights are heavier, so it all evens out and worked both for the 50-degree morning and the 80-degree afternoon. I think the dress is a tad too short for me to wear comfortably without tights, but since tights are the order of the day this time of year it’s not a […]

What I Wore: Black Stripes & Mustard Tights

This week’s outfit was partially inspired by Ma Nouvelle Mode‘s Copy Cat Closet challenge, which for this week was colored tights. I’ve dipped my toe into wearing colored tights before and have several pairs, but I hadn’t had a chance to wear these mustard ones yet. Or this dress. Greyscale stripes + mustard yellow seemed like an easy win, so voila! This dress is surprisingly comfortable, and there’s just enough nip in the air that the tights are welcome. The boots are fabulous (they can be worn cuffed with the herringbone showing, or not), but have a bit higher […]
